Surds. Standard form. Indices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Algebra<\/strong> \u2013 Manipulating expressions. Quadratic equations. Simultaneous equations. Quadratic graphs. Non-linear sequences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change<\/strong> \u2013 Repeated percentage change. Best buys. Exchange rates. Proportion using formulae.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Geometry and Measures &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0 Bearings and scale diagrams. Congruency and similarity. Trigonometry. Angles in polygons. Circles. Volume and surface area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Probability and Statistics<\/strong> \u2013 Calculate probabilities of independent and combined events. Construct tree diagrams and\u00a0interpret probabilities using tree diagrams. Cumulative frequency diagrams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Detailed curriculum of the topics will be available at the tuition centre.) Your child will be given a piece of homework to complete each week. This will usually be consolidation of the learning from each lesson. Any homework they find difficult and not able to do on their own will then be re-addressed in the following lesson.<\/p>\n<p>Once your child covers and is confident with all aspects of the curriculum, they will start practicing more challenging levels of work to ensure further development of each appropriate topic.
